The Azerbaijan Airlines flight was traveling from Baku to Grozny, Russia, when the pilot reported an emergency. Diverted to Aktau due to dense fog in Grozny, the aircraft attempted multiple circles before crashing about 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) from the airport and catching fire.
